About Me

I design, manufacture and install beautiful bespoke furniture to order, from my small home workshop in Highams Park, North-East London.

Working alone, I make everything myself, from scratch. This allows my customers the total freedom and flexibility to choose a piece of furniture designed to fit their home perfectly.

I work on a first come first served basis, and often have a  waiting list to work through, so please be mindful of this before obtaining a quote. I like to work on one project at a time, which means my customers can have my undivided attention until the job is complete.

I am a member of The Guild of Master Craftsmen. This is a sign not just of quality and reliability, but also that my work is fully insured and approved by a company whose sole purpose is to support both makers and their clients in achieving the highest standards of work. You can read feedback and reviews from previous customers, and know that you're in safe hands.

You can visit my Guild page here.

Process

Should you choose to request a quote, I will ask for a few details in advance, to be sent via email.

1. Approximate sketch + dimensions.

Don't worry, I will visit your home to confirm sizes before commencing with the work. This will simply provide me with enough information to work out the materials needed to complete the job.

2. Photograph(s) of your idea.

This can be from my Instagram, or just a photo from Pinterest or Google. It will enable me to get an idea of the design you are looking to achieve, as well as the finish (painted, polished wood etc).

3. Any further information.

Every space is unique. If you feel there is any other relevant information which could affect the quote, please feel free to share it with me.

If the initial estimate sounds reasonable, I will arrange a convenient time for a meeting. This is a chance for me to introduce myself and discuss the project in more detail. I will check measurements, levels, and any features of the room which can help me create a piece of furniture that fits with it's surroundings.

I will then provide you with a firm quote, an accurate sketch, and an approximate timescale for the job.  You can give me some feedback at this stage, and alterations can be made to the design until you are happy to proceed.

I will then take a deposit, which will allow me to order materials and commence the building process. The deposit can be anywhere between 50-70% of the total cost of the job. This can seem like a lot, but note that some work can be 4 weeks in my workshop, and only 2 days on site.

I will always be in touch to let you know when I am ready to fit, and how long I expect it to take. Average installation time is 2-3 days for wardrobes, and a little less for a single bookcase or cabinet. The balancing payment is due only when you are satisfied that the job is complete, and I will sometimes request to come back at a later date to take some photos in good lighting.
